Return Student Scheduling

If you have already completed an Initial ISR Session

After your initial session, you can use a combination of Maintenance or Refreshers to keep and/or regain skills. The options are explained below. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your previous instructor for a more personalized plan. Floating babies should utilize a maintenance plan to bridge to a refresher. For general questions, please email swim@southchicagoisr.com.

Maintenance/Skill Checks

Maintenance is an opportunity for children to continue their skills soon after an initial or refresher session in a 1 day-10 minute format. You are welcome to sign up for as many as you want. Some popular signups are 1x every week, 1x/ every other week, or 1x per month.

Maintenance is not a long term solution if your child needs more intervention/help with their skills. A Refresher will be better suited. If it has been longer than 45 days since your last lesson, a Maintenance Lesson will be treated as a skill check and a prescribed suggestion for additional maintenance or refreshers will be made.

Maintenance dates are generally added three weeks out and continually updated if a spot becomes available.

Refreshers

Refreshers are an opportunity for children to regain lost skills due to growth or extensive time out of the water. The format is similar to the original session where your child will come every day, 5 days a week, 10 minutes/day. The amount of weeks will depend on your child’s age or length of time out of water.

Refreshers also give a swimmer the opportunity to advance their skills. Previous floaters need about 3-4 weeks to introduce the swim.

Crestwood can accommodate children of all ages. Evergreen Park can only accommodate children 5 and under due to pool depth.
